Well, I’m at page 350 of my copy of O’Reilly’s “Head First: HTML with CSS & XHTML” by Elisabeth Freeman and Eric Freeman.
I’m finding it a really good read and it explains a lot of things flat out in clear english that makes some of the stuff I’ve missed over the last few years (Admittedly, I have tended to just brute force figure my way though HTML and CSS to this point) make a LOT more sense. At this point I feel a lot more confident in my understanding of CSS and XHTML’s requirements (makes me wish I had taken that course in 2001 at Herzing on web design *shrug* oh well).
So, once I finish this book, I’m moving onto the tutorials from Total Training that came with my copy of Microsoft Expression Web 2, learn how to use that, then start dabbling with PHP and Javascript. Though, if I start to feel more confident, I’ll jump back to C# and give that a go (and maybe trudge through the pile of books I have on ASP.net 3.5 and .NET 3.5).
As for the job front, I haven’t heard anything yet, but I need to remain ever hopeful… and probably stop drinking Pepsi
So much caffeinated goodness…
Oh, and if you are reading this and want to see some really wicked new wallpapers from the new Star Trek movie… Tobias Richter of The Light Works has created some amazing wallpapers of the new Enterprise. (available here.)
